We are recruiting for a Consultant Microbiologist who shares our ambition
and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive
to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice
for patients and our staff.

Applications are invited from existing consultants or specialist registrars for
a replacement Consultant Microbiologist post at Medway NHS Foundation
Trust. There is an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to join a cohesive team of microbiologists, infection control nurses, antibiotic
pharmacists and laboratory staff to provide the full range of clinical,
microbiology and infection prevention and control services at Medway
Maritime Hospital.

The Microbiology laboratory, which has recently been refurbished, is located in Darent Valley Hospital, providing services to both Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust and Medway NHS Foundation Trust and the laboratory supervision is provided jointly with the Darent Valley Hospital microbiologists.
The post is for 10 PA’s and is subject to the terms and conditions of the 2003
consultant contract.

All applicants must either be on the General Medical Councils Specialist
Register or within six months of obtaining their Certificate of Completion of
Training (CCT) in Microbiology or Microbiology and Infectious diseases at the
time of interview.

Active participation in Research, Audit and Teaching is encouraged and
supported.
