Specialty Doctor in Cornea Ophthalmology
Applications are invited for the position of Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology, based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Whilst based predominantly with the Medical Cornea team this post offers excellent opportunities in all aspects of Ophthalmology. The department delivers a wide range of Ophthalmology services and provides an active teaching programme. The successful candidate will be expected to work to help achieve the aims of the department and is therefore expected to be experienced in all aspects of General Ophthalmology.
Applicants should have completed general professional training and hold the MRCOphth or equivalent qualification, or new-style Part 1 FRCOphth or have completed year 1 specialty training in Ophthalmology with evidence of satisfactory ARCP.
Applicants shall have completed at least 4 years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least 2 of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
