Early Intervention in Psychosis Service

Location: Queens Resource Centre, 66a Queens Road, Croydon CR0 2PR

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic Specialty Doctor to join our well-established Early Intervention in Psychosis service based in Croydon.

COAST team serves people, aged between 18 and 65, that suffer from early onset of psychosis. Our service users come from a variety of cultural backgrounds and often have challenging and complex needs.  The service works as a multidisciplinary team, which includes doctors, clinical psychologists, family therapist, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, support worker and administrative staff. Our aim is to manage mental health, promote recovery and maintain wellbeing.

The post holder will be carrying out psychiatric assessments and interventions for people experiencing their first episode of psychosis, in line with the NICE guidelines and in the context of the National Standards for Early Intervention.

The successful candidate will benefit from the support of two experienced and dynamic Consultants, and there will be opportunities for development of leadership skills, involvement in quality improvement work, service development, teaching and research. Professional development is strongly supported, and the post-holder will benefit from the extensive South London and Maudsley CPD opportunities.

This post is 09:00 – 17:00 with no on call responsibilities.
