Devon is a magnificent place to work and live and has the potential to deliver an exceptional Work-Life balance and stress-free picturesque commute.

Applications are invited to join the oncology team in Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. We are looking to recruit three new consultants to replace some retirements and also to allow for ongoing expansion and new research opportunities. You will join an enthusiastic team of 16 Consultants providing a full range of non-surgical cancer therapies to our local population. We are looking for a mix of medical and clinical oncology colleagues to complement existing staff specialities.

There is flexibility for full-time and part-time working. The jobs will be based at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital but may have a sessional commitment at North Devon District Hospital or Torbay Hospital. We are looking in particular for expertise in uro-oncology, upper GI oncology, lung oncology, breast oncology, lymphoma radiotherapy and skin / melanoma. There is potential for further developing teaching and research links with Exeter University to complement our existing trials portfolio.

The hospital is situated in central Exeter. This historic city is well served by rail, road and air links. There are a number of Good to Outstanding Ofsted rated local schools and the Trust has an on-site Ofsted graded ‘Outstanding’ Nursery.
