Our high-quality care focuses on enabling people to live well with their conditions and to work towards recovery. We also care deeply about the people who work for us. The latest NHS Staff Survey results showed that we were above average for all data sets, and scored the best or equal to the best on the scores that made up ‘Having a voice that counts’, ‘We are a team’ and ‘Staff engagement’.

About Us

  • Relocation expenses and ‘golden hellos’ may also be available.
Life in Surrey and north east Hampshire offers you and your family fantastic schools, beautiful countryside, bustling districts with fantastic leisure opportunities and historic market towns with a vibrant café culture. With all this on your doorstep, it might feel like you're a million miles from the capital - but our excellent road and rail network means you can be in central London in less than 40 minutes. You're also just a quick hop from the coast, and if you feel like venturing further afield then Gatwick and Heathrow airports are within easy reach.

Your Colleagues

I have worked in SABP for many years both as a trainee doctor, and continuing as a consultant - this in itself speaks volumes. Work is part of our lives and I consider SABP as my second family.I have the pleasure to work with such wonderful colleagues in my team, consultant body and directorate. I look forward to going to work as I have the privilege to work with my patients, their families and carers. And on leaving work, I feel blessed that they share their stories, and through their times of darkness, we do everything we can to ensure that holistic care is provided and their quality of life is improved.

Dr Shruti Lodhi Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist in Older People

I have been working as a consultant psychiatrist in Surrey for 3 years now. I was new to the area and the Trust and have found the Trust a very supportive place to work while starting my first substantive post as a consultant. I have been encouraged to develop my interests in medical leadership, alongside my clinical role, and have been supported to enhance my CPD with formal, University-level, training in this area.

Dr Phil Slack Consultant Psychiatrist and Associate Medical Director Older Adults

I joined Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust 5 years ago after a career break and I have transitioned from a SAS doctor to a higher trainee with the excellent encouragement and support provided by the Trust. I feel supported being a less than full-time doctor and an international medical graduate. It is the most friendly place to work and the opportunities such as management, research, education etc are plenty. You just don’t work at SABP but thrive!
