Effect of virtual reality training on laparoscopic surgery

Skills in laparoscopic surgery can be improved by using proficiency based virtual reality simulator training. The accompanying editorial says that early evidence in favour of simulations centres is promising, but integration with existing systems is key.

This video follows trainee surgeon Sofie Leisby through laparascopic surgery - from practising in VR to a real life procedure.
