Orthopaedic surgeons: as strong as an ox and almost twice as clever? Multicentre prospective comparative study

The data presented superficially appear interesting, but sadly are uninterpretable as set out.
In addition to sex, which the authors mentioned, strong predictors of grip strength are age, body height and mid-forearm circumference. Weaker predictors are body weight and hand size measures [1]. Since none of these potential co-variates have been provided, no informed interpretation of the presented data is possible.
