As physicians, we live in two different worlds. We live in the
medical world of morbidity and mortality, and we also live in the mundane
world of practicality and reality. But we must try to bridge these two
worlds with simplicity and clarity, so that we don't unnecessarily
complicate life. Such was my intention, and in no way am I ignoring or
minimizing the plight of people in developing countries.
