I am yet another amongst no doubt a very great many who would have
wished to have been a co-signatory to this excellent letter. Although the
BMA's response was endorsed by a large majority of its elected council
following consultation with members, it now seems highly likely that the
response is not supported by a majority of the members.
Wales and Scotland have good cause to be very grateful for devolution
and their avoidance of pseudo market competition and high expenditure on
commissioning.
