Christopher Martyn is so impressed at the writing not just the
content of an article on philosophy in the Daily Mail, that he goes on to
suggest that doctors use tabloid journalists to edit patient information
handouts. While trying not to sound like one of the "educated people (who)
tend to sneer at those who work for the popular press", I suggest that Dr
Julian Baggini, philosopher, editor of The Philosophers' Magazine, and
writer also for The Guardian, The Independent, Prospect, Times Educational
Supplement and New Humanist might not be your typical tabloid journalist.
Or is that being uncharitable of me?
