Rapid Response:

What this tells us of the Chinese.

This paper is very useful to get primary data
independent from the Chinese official statistics on which
most other research is based. It is important to note that
the results are largely consistent with the data the People
Daily and CASS are publishing.

Based on this excellent research of the BMJ, I have done
a follow-up Study of Sex Selective Abortion from the point
of view of its protagonists: The Chinese people. What do
these data tells us of them, how many of them practice
Selective Abortion, what effective solutions can be found,
etc.

Looking at the problem from this different perspective, I
have come to some quite surprising numbers: as many as 20%
of the pregnancies happening in China might be Gender
manipulated. I wonder if any other paper has explored this
perspective before.
