Re: Re: Is there no place for integrity in academic medicine?
John Stone says, "Dr Aubrey Blumsohn, has long since ceased to work: unemployable for that very reason". However,in this feature article it is said ,"A two day a week NHS job in pathology was salvaged for him at Sheffield, where he survives on tenuous fixed term contracts".Further, Blumsohn is quoted as saying,"I have spent the last 30 years conducting research into the cause, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis, publishing around 295 papers. I am committed to continuing with medical research....,".Therefore,John Stone's said view does not seem to be compatible with the facts stated in Clare Dyer's article.
