Rapid Response:

Inconsistent

I followed the surveys done to assess happiness and there have been
too many inconsistencies. It changes so dramatically every year, from
Nigeria to australia, peuto-rico, usa, denmark.

I have tried to see what assessment tools are used but find these are
not published. One thing is that contributors to life satisfaction are so
many such as innate personality, cultural backgrounds, values, which add
to what we see as living a satisfactory life regardless of status. Also
that different people have different ways of expressing emotions is
important, some language differences especially when translations occur
also affect the way emotions are interpreted as the absence of a
particular might therefore generalize feelings further hence people end up
in wrong categories.

There are so many other things ie, number of untreated people with
affective disordeers which can affect this scales ? are they included ? i
could go on.

I therefore find this things sceptical unless its done in a more
scientific manner so they can start having meaning.
