Only a mum

As yet no genetic link has been proven but its fashionable to claim
one.
Many carers I talk to are convinced of the cannabis link as a trigger
mechanism - not self medication - as symptoms appeared after starting
smoking hash.
We don't need a research program to know hitting a child over the head
with a hammer may cause brain injury though perhaps some "scientists"
would like a hefty research grant to collect data to perform a few
statistical analyses on.
Yes many of us have noticed our offspring were particularly sensitive so
perhaps we instinctively knew they needed "overprotecting", perhaps trauma
at birth is a contributing factor. Probably there are different causes and
triggers but as long as there is a suspicion that cannabis can be a
trigger then it should be SHOUTED FROM THE ROOF TOPS. Teenagers are out
there now under the illusion it is a safe drug.
I and many I know who are caring for people diagnosed as schizophrenics
are convinced cannabis was a trigger but then what do we know about people
we have nurtured all our lives?
