Rapid Response:

Incorrect, Insulting and Offensive

I was horrified yet rather unsurprised at the frequent comments of
Derek Summerfield in his regular rampage against Israel. Complete with no
knowledge on this subject, he continuously feels it useful, with blatant
bias to make ridiculous comments about the effects of this tragic crisis
on the Palestinian people (and yes, it is tragic), without attributing any
blame on their leader Yasser Arafat, recently shown to be the 6th richest
person in the world! (Forbes rich list)

- Rather than use any of this money on the people he so commonly
claims to represent, he buys weapons from Iran and incites children to
'kill Jews wherever they find them' (Al Aqsa Mosque - November 2001)

- And why does everyone seem to disregard the fact that Palestinian
terrorism is solely DIRECTED AGAINST CIVILIANS - its premeditated murder,
nothing less ! The Israeli response, like that of any caring government is
one that targets the perpetrators of such violence.

There is tragically Palestinian civilian loss, but only because the
terrorists construct their bomb factories in highly densely populated
civilian areas (incidentally controlled by UNRWA), so excuse me for not
trusting the legitimacy of UN sanctions when they allow such hypocrisy to
take place !

Indeed Mr Summerfield how dare you preach Geneva conventions without
even mentioning the appauling breech of human rights by the Palestinian
terrorists towards their own people !

- And what a coincidence that the picture of the security FENCE
pictures the only 5% that is in fact a wall. Current figures show that in
fact the fence is the best form of defence and whilst it is not ideal, the
Israeli government have been left no choice for the time being. It is the
single most effective non violent way of protecting its own civilians.

- And yes, Im afraid if you smuggle weapons and bomb belts in
ambulances then they will get searched !

Time after time, in many other journals but most worryingly in the
BMJ, there is no screening for validity whatsoever when it comes to
articles such as these which are factually so far from the truth that it
is evident Mr Summerfield has copied this rubbish off a website.
