Palestine: the assault on health and other war crimes

Rapid Response:

Congratulations to the BMJ

Hearty congratulations to the editors of BMJ for having, with a
single bold
move, dusted off a stodgy and obscure medical journal and
transformed it into the vibrant political paper we see today. Some 160
letters
before mine attest to the acuity of the editors’ insight: that leaping
into the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a partisan of one side was precisely the
most
efficient step to bring about this remarkable change of mission.

The fact that it will, in future, be a little harder to trust the
writing within your
pages than it was in the past, is a small price to pay for such progress.
I hope
you are all congratulating yourselves today.
