Streptococci cleave Apolipoprotein A1

Dear Sir,

Group A Streptococci produce the serum opacity factor (SOF).

This factor cleaves the Apolipoprotein.

I think, this is one important pathogenetic factor.
It could induce upregulating Apolipoprotein A1!
Vascular complications would be the price.
