Experience in Brazil

I'm a vascular surgeon at a major trauma center in Rio de Janeiro ,
Brazil ; and as I was searching in the web for upper limb vascular trauma
articles I found very little about it. Surpriseling this article of
ireland shows a reality very close to us here.Although we are not in any
conflictual racial or religious area, there are plenty of shotguns
wounds, and even bombs...In a review of last past five years we found(only
in my hospital-there are more two on our area)138 patients who had
vascular upper limb trauma due to guns, car accidents, knife and
iatrogenic... we had patients from 6 months to 88years old ... so as you
can see it is not a "privilege"of yours this sort of wounds ... in places
where civil war is not declared and there is no civilian conflict it also
occurs...for money robbery and drugs traffic. I'd like to exchange
experiences with you on this subject ,if possible .
