SURVIVIOR

Hey, I would like to say I was diagnosed in Nov.1991 with
melanoma. It was in stage four.I was four months pregnant at the time.My
surgeon
sent me to Duke University Hospital for treatment the following month.I
traveled there once a month for autoimmunity (i think this was my
treatment)treatment.I had my last injection after my healthy baby boy was
born on April 7,1992.I'm proud of the treatment;for my surgeon knowing
there is treatment out there for melanoma during pregnancy. My son just
turned 7 years old.I'm prod to say that every six months after my regular
check-up with my surgeon,he says the same thing."Keep it up you're looking
good".Please give your patients a little encouragement.It's
not easy to go through something like this...I SURVIVED and
I thank God for it.

Thanks,

Gail
