Aust N Z J Obstet Gynaecol. 1993 Feb;33(1):61-2. doi: 10.1111/j.1479-828x.1993.tb02056.x.

Abstract

Outpatient hysteroscopy and biopsy was performed on 403 occasions. Complications were rare (< 1%). Side-effects occurred in 70% of patients but rarely required treatment. Preoperative explanation of the type, severity and frequency of side-effects reduces patient anxiety at the time when side-effects occur.
