Brian Rowland Griffiths
Former general practitioner Blaenavon, Torfaen, south Wales (b 30 May 1933; q Welsh School of Medicine 1959), died from coronary
artery thrombosis on 27 January 2003.
Brian worked as a full time GP partner in Blaenavon until his retirement in 1994, after which he did locum work. As the GP
succeeding Brain, I appreciated his full and often revealing medical records, and some member of practice staff still refer
to my consulting in Dr Griffiths’ room. Former patients tell me that Brain was direct and forthright, and particularly fond
of his fine garden. He leaves his wife, Margaret, and sons, Simon and Roger. [Wayne Lewis]
