Nine in 10 CCGs don’t know how long patients wait for talking therapies

Most clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) and mental health trusts have no idea how long patients with serious mental health problems are waiting for treatment, the BMA has found.
A freedom of information request, sent by the association, also revealed that some patients were waiting over a year for treatment.
The BMA asked all 207 CCGs and 54 mental health trusts in England about four talking therapies; dialectical behavioural therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, family therapy, and dynamic psychotherapy. It …
