Government is not doing enough to improve children’s health, paediatricians warn

“Ineffective” and “short term” government strategies are failing to improve the health of children, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) has said.
In a report last year on the state of child health in the UK,1 the college said that that the disparity between the health of children in the UK compared with the rest of Europe was a major cause for concern and made a number of recommendations for government.
