An endocrinologist from New Jersey has been charged with hiring a man to kill his wife after she threatened to reveal his illegal oxycodone distribution scheme, which he ran with a local biker gang.
James Kauffman, 68, gave a gun to Francis Mullholland of the Pagan Outlaw gang and left his front door open when he left for work on 10 May 2012, prosecutors allege. According to the indictment, Mullholland entered the house and shot dead April Kauffman, a well known local radio host.
