Putting innovation to the test

Rapid responses are electronic comments to the editor. They enable our users to debate issues raised in articles published on bmj.com. A rapid response is first posted online. Human beings are complex, and various kinds of people exist on this planet. Academicians, psychologists and policy makers should evaluate the best ways to educate or counsel many people who have a history of poor achievement in innovation in healthcare delivery. Innovation is one among different kinds of knowledge or understanding. Innovation should differ from acceptance of authoritative dictates. A true innovation model for health care really is the need of the hour. Academic medical centers must work in this direction. Socioeconomic flexibility defiantly plays a role in true innovation. Innovation must follow a proper checklist to deliver better outcome to end users.
Better outcome: This is based on the socio-psychological and philosophical nature of family and friends. Research is needed to support caregivers.
Cost compatibility: Better patient recovery, and satisfy those who have cost compatibility.
Care is patient-driven and professional-supported: many approaches like self-diagnosis, self-medication self-monitoring, self-dialysis, etc., need to be properly analyzed with various parameters.
High-risk patients: Patients with Hypertension, Congestive Heart Failure, Diabetes, COPD and maternal and child care should be brought carefully into the limelight of innovation.
Vibrant medical assessment and treatment: Stress to be given to managing vulnerable patients.
Proper usage of Medical or Health Insurance: Medicare plays a vital role in delivering patient health care.
SWOT analysis: Proper screening of Mobile and digital healthcare systems.
The accurate nature of Innovation is influenced by the scholar’s ideological framework and research from other types of research.

Mixing metrics with ethics, truth fuses science with philosophy. Science quantifies and classifies truth, while philosophy qualifies and clarifies truth. Without this crucial fusion, we wallow in confusion.

Beware of School
Rotten with rote, and written with riffs, schools promote education and graduation via regimentation and indoctrination, not individuation or innovation. Intellectual but ineffectual, and hallowed but hollow and shallow, schools are fallow followers that kowtow to puppet shows for the status quo. To quote Mark Twain, "I never let school interfere with my education."
