Government promises “ambitious” science deal with EU

The UK government has sought to quell fears over Brexit’s effect on the science and research sector, pledging that it was seeking an “ambitious science and innovation agreement with the EU.”

In a written response to Norman Lamb, chair of the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee, Robin Walker, minister at the Department for Exiting the European Union, acknowledged the concern over the impact of Brexit.1
