One year cancer survival index rises in England

The one year survival index among patients with all types of cancer in England has increased steadily over the past 15 years, and variations around the country have decreased, the Office for National Statistics has reported.1
Latest figures show that the one year cancer survival index increased from 60.6% in people with cancer diagnosed in 1999 to 70.4% in those with cancer diagnosed in 2014. The index represents an average of all cancer survival estimates by age, sex, and cancer type and is …
