Moderate exercise cuts type 2 diabetes risk but more is better, review finds

People who are moderately physically active for 150 minutes a week have a 26% lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes than those who are inactive, a meta-analysis has shown,1 and a higher level of physical activity is associated with an even greater risk reduction.
The link between type 2 diabetes and physical inactivity is well known, but it is not clear how much activity is needed to reduce the risk of developing diabetes or whether higher levels of activity reduce this risk …
