A true adventurer with an astonishing intellect and a deepseated drive to care for some of the most vulnerable people on the planet, Warren Durrant spent 22 years of his exceptional and long career serving in hospitals across western and southern Africa. Also an accomplished author (cf his award winning memoir Across the Wide Zambezi), he returned to the UK, complete with a family, and worked as a GP on the Wirral until his delayed retirement at the age of 71.
