Leaving the European Union (EU) would have an adverse impact on the NHS and the health of UK residents, a group of academics from the school of public health at Imperial College, London said in an article in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine.1 NHS England chief executive, Simon Stevens, has agreed with this view.
The group, led by Azeem Majeed, head of the department of primary care and public health at Imperial College, said that repercussions for the NHS and UK health would result from the impact of an EU exit on the economy.
