Over half of qualified GPs are now women, show HSCIC data

Over 50% of qualified GPs in England are now women, data from the Health and Social Care Information Centre have shown.
Provisional experimental figures released by the HSCIC showed that the proportion of female GPs, excluding GP registrars, retainers, and locums, rose from 49.9% in 2014 to 51.9% in 2015.1
