Doctors’ worry about NHS “privatisation” is growing, says BMA

Two thirds of doctors are uncomfortable with “privatisation” of the NHS in England and the growing role of independent sector organisations in providing NHS services, a BMA survey has found.

In a report published on 18 April the BMA examined how much NHS money was being spent on independent providers, the effects of independent providers taking over NHS services, and the opinions of around 500 doctors on these issues.1
