Emergency departments in England report worst waiting times ever

Hospital trusts in England have reported their worst waiting times in accident and emergency departments since monthly data began to be collected.
Figures published by NHS England on Thursday 14 April showed that 87.8% of patients were seen within four hours in all emergency departments in February: the worst performance since monthly data became available in August 2010. 1 The figure was below the target of 95% and lower than the 92% reached in the same month last year.
