Janet Christina Easton

Janet Christina Brash was born in a tenement flat in Scotstoun, Glasgow. Her mother had worked in service as a housekeeper in Kent in England; her father, from Glasgow, had been a delivery boy who would eventually become a bank manager. In the late 1940s Janet was awarded a bursary to attend Glasgow University’s medical school.
