Strike action looms again as talks over junior doctors’ contract stall

Talks between the UK government and junior doctors over their new contract stalled before Christmas, with two areas of absolute disagreement still remaining. If there is no further progress when talks resume in the New Year, then industrial action is looking likely to be scheduled for 13 January.
