Pfizer, the US drug company, has agreed to buy the Ireland based Allergan in a deal worth $160bn (£106bn; €150bn) that will create the biggest drug maker by sales.

The merger is due to be completed by the second half of 2016 provided it is approved in the United States and Europe. The new company, which will be called Pfizer plc, is expected to generate cash flow of more than $25bn …
