All overweight and obese adults aged 40 to 70 should be screened for abnormal blood sugar levels, says new guidance from the US Preventive Services Task Force.
The recommendation, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, said that patients with high blood sugar levels should be referred to intensive behavioural counselling to promote a healthy diet and regular exercise.1
