Response from The BMJ

The BMJ has received a multi-author letter calling for the retraction of the article by Nina Teicholz.

We have asked the authors of the letter to submit it as a rapid response on thebmj.com. In line with our usual practice, this will require all signatories to declare their competing interests, which are not provided in a version of the letter posted on the website of the Centre for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI).

We are seeking external expert review of the points raised in the letter. Details of the review process will be available shortly.
