Special measures will be imposed on poorly rated surgeries: General practices rated “inadequate” by Care Quality Commission inspectors will be immediately placed into special measures and offered a package of support to improve their services, the regulator has announced.1 The proposals were developed after consultation with NHS England and the Royal College of General Practitioners.
