The US National Institutes of Health (NIH) has suspended all operations of its specialized pharmacy that produces investigational drugs for clinical trials after inspectors from the Food and Drug Administration discovered “serious manufacturing problems and lack of compliance with standard operating procedures,” NIH officials said on 4 June.
