Guidance for researchers on good practice in sharing data that are produced from publicly funded clinical trials has been published and endorsed by leading UK research bodies.1
The guidance, produced with funding from the UK Medical Research Council’s network of hubs for trials methodology research, emphasises that sharing data makes clinical trials more useful to researchers, maximises the contribution made by trial participants, and helps prevent unnecessary duplication of research.
