The former chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners has issued an impassioned plea to UK politicians to “stop the relentless and damaging drive towards a health market.”
Speaking at the college’s City Health conference in London, Clare Gerada, who served as chair of the college from 2010 to 2013, warned that the NHS was “withering away” as a result of the current government’s policies.
