The United Kingdom’s highest court has ordered the government to draw up a plan within months to cut the levels of nitrogen dioxide in the atmosphere to protect public health.
The Supreme Court unanimously ordered the next UK government—which will be formed after the 7 May election—to deliver an air quality action plan, with a timetable, to the European Commission by 31 December 2015. …
