Only 1 in 15 head and neck cancer patients receives all six elements of care recommended in the “ideal patient pathway,” the latest audit of cancer care in England has found.1
The ninth national head and neck cancer audit, commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership, examined how well England’s 28 regional cancer networks were providing the ideal patient pathway, which aims to ensure that patients with head and neck cancer receive holistic and integrated care.
