86% of English patients are satisfied with GPs, but fewer are happy with out of hours care

Patients continue to report a positive overall experience of general practice in England, despite falling satisfaction with opening times and the provision of out of hours care.

The latest results from the national GP Patient Survey 2013-14 show that 85.7% of patients described the overall experience of their GP surgery as good.1 This was just one percentage point less than last year’s results published in June 2013.
