Uptake of shingles vaccines in England rises: Since the shingles vaccination programme launched in England in September 2013 54.8% of 70 year olds and 53.1% of 79 year olds have been vaccinated, figures from NHS England have shown. This was an increase of 8.2% for the 70 year olds and 7.6% for the 79 year olds compared with data up to the end of January 2014.
