NHS and social care leaders join forces to share knowledge of integrating services

Senior NHS and social services leaders have announced they are planning a new campaign to show how integrating services across the social and health sectors can improve the quality of care and cut costs as concerns about making the policy work appear to be growing.

Three organisations—the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy—have announced a joint initiative to support integration. It aims to bring together health and social care finance practitioners locally and nationally to share understanding and analyse the effects of integration on the cost and quality of services.
