Young women most at risk of developing cervical cancer are the least likely to have been offered the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine or to have completed the course, according to a survey of women attending sexual health services in England.
In the journal Sexually Transmitted Infections the researchers said that higher risk individuals need to be better targeted to boost uptake of the vaccine, which is below the 80% level needed to make a significant difference to cervical cancer rates. …
