As of 1 March over 4.2 million people had enrolled in health insurance plans through the online health insurance exchanges created by the US Affordable Care Act.1
Eligible uninsured people have until 31 March to enroll in a plan for coverage in 2014 or they will face a tax penalty of $95 (£57; €68) per person, or 1% of household income.
Enrollment, which began on 1 October last year, got off to a slow start, largely due to technical glitches with state and federal websites …
