A consultant surgeon at Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust is facing allegations of inadequate professional performance at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service.
The trust was found to have multiple failings in two inquiries chaired by Robert Francis QC, but Raafat Gendy is the only doctor to face a hearing on charges from the General Medical Council over his performance.
